COUPPE SAFE HOUSE
KOKOPO, EAST NEW BRITAIN
PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Couppe Safe House was officially opened in 6th December for 2018 by the Archbishop Frances Panfilo SDB. It is a collaboration between the FMI Sisters, Catholic Archdiocese of Rabaul, Volunteer Services Abroad, New Zealand High Commission in PNG and the generous support of local businesses and the people of Papua New Guinea.
The house is staffed by FMI Sisters and administered jointly between the FMI Sisters and The Archdioceses of Rabaul. Couppe Safe House works closely with the FSVAC in Rabaul to facilitate entry referral into the programme. There is also a new pathway via medical referral from St Mary’s Hospital Vunapope and Nonga General Hospital. We also accept self-referral clients, so get in touch today if you believe you need help.
If you believe that you know someone who is a survivor of domestic or sexual violence and needs help, please contact Couppe Safe House on 9400174 or email us at couppehousePNG@gmail.com.
It is not normal part of marriage to be the victim of bashing or threats, it should not happen to adults and it should not happen to children. If this is happening to you it is ok to ask for help.
